  42.     Remember that the 6L is more like the LaserJet 4 family than the
  43.     LaserJet 6 family (as with most "L" printers from
  44.     HP). For example it does not work with the
  45.     "lj5gray"/"lj5mono" drivers but only with the
  46.     "ljet4" or "lj4dith" drivers (and
  47.     also Gimp-Print and HPIJS).<p>

  49.     The layout is off center and slightly rotated when using
  50.     Ghostscript.  (could someone else please confirm this?)<p>

  52.     [Ed] I find the slight rotation bit hard to beleive, but until I
  53.     head otherwise, I'll leave this printer where it is.  The
  54.     centering problem can be solved by simply adjusting the margins in
  55.     Ghostscript.<p>

  62.     Unfortunately, this printer has a little hardware problem: The
  63.     paper separation pad hardens with the time and the printer pulls
  64.     in several sheets of paper at once. HP is aware of this and offers
  65.     a kit to fix this without needing to disassemble the printer for
  66.     free. It can be ordered for delivery into any country via their
